Hi, this is my ground orchid flowering this week/spathoglotis plicata, one of the few orchids which dont mind being planted in the ground if you live in a warm area.

I just read what I wrote and sort of contradicted myself didn’t I. It was no fuss until it got burnt anyway.

Hi Kathleen ,the bottle -brush tree is perfect for orchids because it has rough bark, but the bottle tree is smooth.
Oh I don’t many other trees in the garden that have rough bark other than the bottle brush :/ I’ll have to ask at the local nursery and order in one.
Yes I know the bottle tree, but I would not choose it for an orchid though, the bark is smooth and orchids prefer rough bark trees.
