Cleaning House Plants

House plants are often affected adversely by change of environment. They have probably come from a nursery greenhouse, then been transported, sometimes in hot trucks, to a different set of conditions in shops. They may be left in a hot, closed car or carried through wind before reaching their new home.

It is good practice to let plants acclimatise for the first three or four weeks with only moderate watering, no feeding, good light and, if necessary, increased humidity.
