Growing Parsley

Anyone who has tried growing parlsey from seed knows that parsley seeds are quite slow to germinate.

Sometimes it can be 3 or weeks before the seeds show signs of growth above the soil.

To encourage the seeds to sprout more rapidly, soften them by giving them a good soak overnight in some warm water.

Then put 3 or 4 of the seeds in a pot full of soilless mix. This could be made of equal parts of peat moss and vermiculite, plus add a little bit of ground limestone and some fertilizer.

Keep the media moist during the entire germination time. Set plants in garden in mid spring and you will find you will be much more successful at growing parsley.
