    Yes exactly...thanks Darrel.

    Mmmmm I don't know off hand...but I like the way that the leaf is fringed with red. I am a bit of a sucker for red in the garden.

    Would that be on a Tibbouchina plant that the orchid is mounted on by any chance? (forgive my spelling)

    Hi Darrel,
    It's a cattleya of some sort. I like the way it's mounted on the tree like that. All mine are in pots in the green house.

    It belongs to a neighbour of mine, she just sticks things in trees and they grow like you wouldn’t believe.

    That orchid is a hybrid species of the genus Cattleya.
