I have 2 blueberries about 4 metres apart and while I have improved the soil somewhat and made it more acidic they fail to grow or thrive. There is a weak attempt at fruiting which don't ripen.

They grew and fruited when I had them in pots in a different suburb!

    Any ideas?

I believe they hate being disturbed and suffer for it. How long have they been in their new location, they may just need a little longer to adapt. Try some seaweed emulsion to improve their root system and you may find they come good.
Are they different varieties, blueberries fruit better with different varieties near by.
    Good luck
    Shelley

thanks Shelley, they have been there for about 3 years, but they did almost die one year (hydrophobic soil and little attention) so that year can be cancelled out!

I think I have 2 different varieties, so I might move them closer, improve their soil and add seaweed emulsion and hope for the best. I'm toying with the idea of putting them in large pots again.
